We are well into our second unit of inquiry under the IB organizing theme: Who We Are.
Our central idea is: Communities connect people in many ways.
We have been working to develop a general understanding of Canada in terms of geography, regions and climate. We will be focusing in on 3 specific regions for more in-depth inquiry: prairie, coastal, and Northern regions.
In the following activity, the children used their knowledge they developed over several days to sort photographs. They are learning how to look closely at photographs to gather information. They used their knowledge of specific geographical and other features to decide which pictures were from Iqaluit, Saskatoon and Meteghan (Nova Scotia).
If you have artifacts at home that could help us learn about these 3 regions, we would appreciate your help!
